Welcome to the CWD/Bovine TB online tracking system

The Ministry of Environment is implementing mandatory disease surveillance for draw and regular season elk, mule deer, and white-tailed deer in WMZ 37, 39, 43, 47, 50, and 55 for the 2025-26 hunting season.

Due to the detection of bovine tuberculosis (bovine TB) in two cattle herds in Saskatchewan in 2023 and 2024, the province is conducting mandatory bovine TB surveillance in Zones 37 and 39. In addition, in order to better understand CWD prevalence rates in wildlife in the region, the province is conducting mandatory CWD surveillance in zones 43, 47, 50, and 55. Hunters are asked to submit heads from all elk, mule deer, and white-tailed deer harvested in these zones, within one month from the time the animal was harvested. Hunters can register using the link below and submit heads for both bovine TB and chronic wasting disease (CWD) testing at any regular CWD drop-off location. Testing will remain voluntary for moose and outside of mandatory testing zones.
